By the looks of things you may not have given much for the survival of No 4 Castle Street,
Having fallen into disrepair over the years and the final tenant to use the premises as a business, shoemaker Thomas H Barnwell passing away in 1985. The last Georgian house standing on Castle Street was saved from demolition by the Dublin Civic Trust in 1996. With great care and attention to detail, the merchant townhouse was beautifully restored and is now a listed building.
